
LANSING, Mich. – Maner Costerisan has announced 15 manager-level promotions elevating four team members to senior manager and 11 to manager across multiple departments, underscoring the firm’s commitment to developing and advancing talent from within.

Senior Manager Promotions:
Ryan Babiak, CPA, was promoted from manager to senior manager in the audit department. Babiak joined Maner Costerisan in 2025 and brings more than 10 years of accounting experience, primarily serving nonprofit and health care organizations. He is a regular presenter of Maner’s nonprofit webinars. A graduate of Aquinas College with a bachelor’s degree in professional accountancy, he resides in Caledonia, Michigan.
Scott Ebert, CPA, a DeWitt resident, was promoted from manager to senior manager in the audit department. Ebert rejoined Maner Costerisan in 2025 after previously working at the firm from 2017 to 2021. He has more than eight years of experience in accounting and finance and most recently served as a senior financial analyst for a global manufacturer. At Maner, he focuses on assurance engagements in the affordable housing and education sectors. He earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Michigan State University.
The senior manager promotions include the following two professionals who joined Maner Costerisan through the firm’s January 2026 merger with Baker Holtz in Grand Rapids.
Seth Hanenburg, CPA, was promoted to senior manager in the accounting department. He brings 11 years of accounting experience. Hanenburg earned his CPA license in 2020 and holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in accounting from Davenport University. He resides in Byron Center.
Lauren Kurtz, CPA, was promoted to senior manager in the tax department. She brings 10 years of tax experience, supporting clients with a wide range of tax planning and compliance needs. Kurtz is a graduate of Aquinas College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in professional accountancy. She resides in Rockford.
