Michigan-based Gateway Pediatric Therapy, an autism ABA-focused clinic, is using Autism Awareness Month to educate the community on a variety of important topics and dispel myths surrounding the autism community.

Autism Awareness Month is coming up in April and World Autism Awareness Day on April 2nd, I wanted to reach out and see if you have any interest in doing a story on any of the below business topics.
  • Autism in the workplace: People with autism often possess highly sought-after traits, such as strong visual skills, a consistent work ethic, above-average intelligence, honesty, and strong problem-solving skills. Some people on the spectrum can find comfort in structure, independence, and responsibility, which, in essence, are all being provided through work.
  • Understanding autism: Now more than ever, families living with autism need support, inspiration, and connection. With bullying on the rise and mental health struggles more prominent than ever, it’s important parents talk to their children about acceptance and kindness. There are several wonderful children’s books to help your child better understand and empathize with individuals on the spectrum.
  • Light it Up Blue: This is a national campaign for World Autism Awareness Day, it encourages individuals to dress in blue or light up their homes in blue to show support for those with autism.
