New resource hub for skills training and career readiness Now more than ever, Michigan workers need beyond a high school diploma to be better positioned to fill the thousands of in-demand high-paying jobs open across the state.
To best support Michiganders find their next job, training or education opportunity, the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity has built a digital hub of resources housed at Michigan.gov/SkillsToWork.
This new website helps Michigan workers easily connect to online certification and degree programs including free training and work readiness tools needed to succeed in high-demand careers during COVID-19 and in the future.
This online hub also includes a Return to Work Playbook which outlines career and job-readiness resources, including step-by-step instructions for developing resumes, preparing for interviews, exploring new career paths, and finding free or inexpensive job training opportunities.
The Playbook also provides industry or occupational-specific resources, as well as those to assist specific individuals; including veterans, individuals with disabilities, migrant and seasonal farm workers and adult learners.
