Michigan’s top female elected officials join the Michigan Women’s Commission to talk about promoting women in leadership roles.

LANSING, Mich.- For the first time in Michigan’s history, women hold the majority of our top elected leadership positions. To mark International Women’s Day, Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, Attorney General Dana Nessel, Democratic Leader of the MI House of Representatives Donna Lasinski and Chief Justice Bridget Mary McCormack will join Michigan Women’s Commission Chair Muna Jondy and Commissioner Charity Dean for a conversation about women’s leadership.

The theme for International Women’s Day 2021 – a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women – is #ChooseToChallenge. Join this remarkable gathering of Michigan’s elected leadership to hear how they “choose to challenge” professionally and personally, and how they strive to elevate women professionally and create more pathways toward female leadership.
