Marking the 20th Anniversary of Lee Trevino’s Miraculous Ace at the Par 3 Shootout – Treetops Resort Will Host a Unique Event to Include a Clinic and Fireside Chat with World Golf Hall of Famer Mr. Trevino

(GAYLORD, MICHIGAN) – On July 30, 2001, Lee Trevino aced hole #7 (Hang Time) on Threetops during the 3rd annual Par 3 Shootout. The made-for-TV event aired in primetime on ESPN and for the feat, Lee won a cool $1,090,000 with that one swing of the club half of which he generously donated to St. Judes Children’s Hospital. Twenty years later Treetops Resort is excited to celebrate the milestone with a once-in-a-lifetime event. Michigan’s Most Spectacular Golf Resort – Treetops Resort is thrilled to welcome Lee Trevino in celebration of the Shot Heard Round the World. “I have fond memories of that ace at Treetops and look forward to heading back to Gaylord to celebrate the 20th Anniversary,” said Mr. Trevino. The event will take place on Thursday, July 29th, 2021, and is Open to the First 80 Golfers to Sign Up. The not-to-be-missed event will be played on the legendary Threetops – which is consistently recognized as the #1 Par Three Course in North America by multiple publications and just recently featured in Links Magazine’s Best of Golf edition as one of the “Baddest” Par-3 courses in the United States.

 Lee Trevino to give a 30-minute clinic on the range with the legendary Dennis
Walters who is paralyzed from the waist down and performs trick shots and
other amazing feats. Dennis and Lee Trevino go way back as Dennis was a
promising amateur golfer destined for the TOUR prior to his accident.
