The Downtown Campus has 16 charging stations for electric vehicles
LANSING, Mich. (Sept. 12, 2023) – LCC is proud to unveil 32 ChargePoint charging ports at the Downtown Campus. All employees and students are eligible to charge their electric vehicle for free for up to four hours every day.
Although the service is free, employees and students must register their electric vehicle and receive a ChargePoint connection code. Codes will update each year in July and a new form will need to be submitted.
Community members can use the chargers by paying $1.98 per hour for a maximum of four hours. Beginning at four hours and one minute, the public will be charged $10 per hour for parking plus $1.98 per hour for charging.
This is LCC’s second “green transportation” project unveiled in the past several weeks. The college also built a secure bicycle parking area inside the Gannon Parking Ramp in the northwest corner. The area includes racks and locks, as well as a bicycle repair stand and a pump.
