February is Career and Technical Education Month
LANSING, Mich. [Feb. 15, 2024]- Lansing Community College is bringing together business leaders, state and local legislators and education leaders to celebrate CTE programs on Friday, Feb. 16 at the West Campus location 5708 Cornerstone Dr. in Lansing.
CTE programs are offered at high schools, colleges and some universities throughout Michigan and help prepare Michigan students for high-wage, in-demand careers.
CTE also ties into Gov. Whitmer’s Sixty by 30, which aims to increase the percentage of adults in the state with a postsecondary degree or credential by the year 2030.
Attendees will enjoy a delicious breakfast and hear from leaders from Michigan Department of Education, Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Development, Sparrow Hospital CEO, and leaders from LCC, and more. A tour of West Campus will follow.
