The biannual Michigan Economic and Workforce Indicators and Insights tracks Michigan labor market trends on a series of indicators related to the workforce, knowledge-based jobs, innovation, education, and the economy. It provides a concise analysis of recent trends in these indicators as well as national or regional comparisons.
The Employment and Occupations in the Skilled Trades 2015 study updates our 2013 report by providing up-to-date information about the Skilled Trades in Michigan with sections on employment, earnings, job requirements and readiness, apprenticeships and program completers, and current and future employment demand. While the previous report presented encouraging numbers as to the quality and outlook of Skilled Trades jobs, this update expands on that optimism as the numbers for the future look even brighter now.
