LANSING, Mich. – The Lansing Economic Development Corporation (Lansing EDC) today announced the appointment of Shelley Davis Boyd, Chief Strategy Officer at M3 Group, as the new chair of its board of directors.
As board chair, Davis Boyd will work closely with the board members, executive team and community partners to implement strategic initiatives that will enhance the economic landscape of the region. In addition to the Lansing EDC board, she will also serve as chair of the Lansing Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, and the Lansing Tax Increment Finance Authority boards.

Davis Boyd, who has served on the Lansing EDC board since 2016, is chief strategy officer at Lansing-based M3 Group, a full-service marketing and branding agency. She joined the agency after several years as director of communications, public relations and marketing for the Michigan Association of School Boards. Her marketing background also includes corporate marketing strategist of LAFCU, development manager for K12 Inc., and president at Mieshel Consulting.

In addition to Lansing EDC, Davis Boyd serves on various boards and councils, including the McLaren Greater Lansing Foundation and the Michigan Online School. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Northwood University DeVos Graduate School.
