Junior Achievement 2015 Teen and Personal Finance Survey

leadershipJunior Achievement’s annual Teens & Personal Finance Survey, in partnership with The Allstate Foundation, revealed surprising insights about teens and parents, and their thoughts on personal finance. Among the survey’s findings: nearly half of teens (48 percent) say parents will help pay for college but only 16 percent of parents (of teens) report planning to help and 40 percent of teen girls say parents aren’t talking to them enough about money management compared to 24 percent of teen boys who agree. This is the first year parents have been included as part of the Teens & Personal Finance Survey.
