Michael Rogers talks with Jeffrey Miller, M.D., owner of Miller Vein and a member of the Small Business Association of Michigan’s Leadership Council, and solicits his ideas on entrepreneurial success and the future prospects for Michigan’s small business community.
Miller Vein, Metro-Detroit’s premier medical office for varicose and spider vein treatment, has been recognized as one of Michigan’s “Coolest Places to Work” by Crain’s Detroit Business magazine. The “Cool Places” distinction was designed to identify and honor the best employers in Michigan, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses.
Born and raised in Metro Detroit, Jeffrey H. Miller, M.D., earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Michigan State University where he graduated with high honors. He then attended Wayne State University Medical School and received his M.D. with high distinction. In a class of approximately 250 students, he was one of only 15 to achieve honors each year of medical school. He received his radiology training at William Beaumont Hospital where he served as a chief resident. He then did a fellowship in interventional radiology, which has been his professional focus ever since. Since 1994, Dr. Miller has been performing complex image-guided endovascular procedures. His experience includes service as a director of the Vascular and Interventional Radiology Department at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center in Dearborn, Michigan.
