Mike and Erik revisit a story of a hacker who was able to fake the fingerprints of the German defense minister Ursula von der Leyen by utilizing two separate photographs and reverse engineering the fingerprint. As biometrics are becoming a widely adopted security protocol, and using this article as reference, we will discuss the inherent problems of using this technology.
