Farewell to MEDC’s David Newhouse

Fresh off the success of six trade missions with 38 Michigan companies since the beginning of this year, MEDC is excited to continue offering businesses the opportunity to meet international contacts and grow their exports through two new upcoming missions.

Registration is now open to join the Michigan delegation at Madrid Automotive Meetings, a B2B mobility event taking place in Spain this October. Also open now is registration to exhibit within the Michigan booth at MEDICA, the world’s largest healthcare and medical device trade show taking place in Germany this November. If you serve these industries, don’t miss this chance to leverage such highly attended platforms to meet potential buyers.

As a team member of MEDC’s International Trade program for nearly a decade, David has witnessed the development and accomplishment of so many Michigan companies, either through trade missions or any of our other services, build a thriving business for themselves in international markets. For that reason, it’s bittersweet that I announce my retirement on July 7th and transition from a provider in the Michigan export network to a cheerleader for all that are growing their sales through exports. So to those leaders, entrepreneurs, and risk-takers out there, I wish you the best in bettering your business, your brand, your community, and your state through international opportunities. Inquiries from companies I support in Southeast Michigan can be directed to export@michigan.org while my position is filled.
