Then discussed the day of activities in Michigan’s capital with Lisa Lunsford, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, of Global Strategic Supply Solutions (GS3); Board Chair, MICHauto.

Additionally, he spoke with Steve Hilfinger, a partner and senior business counselor with Foley & Lardner LLP. Steve focuses on representing private companies on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), finance transactions, corporate counseling, and government affairs matters. He has represented automotive suppliers and other manufacturers for more than 30 years, helping found the Firm’s Detroit Office, and its Manufacturing Sector.

On Tuesday, MICHauto hosted its annual convening at the State Capitol in Lansing, MI. Throughout the day, MICHauto investors met with legislators to promote issues important to Michigan’s auto and mobility industry. Specifically, this year’s theme focused on passing distracted driving legislation and championing support of R&D tax credits, EV purchasing incentives, and charging infrastructure expansion.

Our team is pleased to continue facilitating the critical conversations today, during our annual Capitol visit, and every day to help strengthen relationships between the State’s elected leaders and its signature industry.”

The Day also saw the annual recognition of MICHauto’s Legislator of the Year Award, bestowed in 2023 on Sen. Mallory McMorrow (D-Royal Oak).
