Chris Holman welcomes back Carrie Rosingana, CEO, CAMW! Capital Area Michigan Works! Lansing, MI, but serving Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton Counties.
Watch Carrie and Chris discuss CAMW! budget priorities, Medicaid work supports, apprenticeships, and the Going PRO funding outlook in the YouTube video shared below:
There were several questions Chris had for Carrie in this discussion:
2. Why is CAMW! and the Michigan Works! Association prioritizing Medicaid work requirement assistance?
3. You’re also hoping to see funding for Registered Apprenticeships. How is that funding applied?
4. Going PRO Talent Fund took a pretty big hit in last year’s budget, and the governor didn’t include it in her recommendation this year. Are you hopeful that it will be retained/put back, and why or why not?
5. Budget crafting is also going on at the federal level. Is there anything from that sphere you’d like to share?
