Bellwether Public Relations celebrated the opening of its new downtown Lansing office recently with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house at 101 S. Washington Square. The move gives the strategic communications agency a home in the heart of the city after eight years in the Fox47 Building on W. Saint Joseph Street.
“Lansing’s downtown relies on small businesses, state government, visitors, and residents working to keep our community thriving. I am pleased to welcome Bellwether to their new downtown location, continuing to be a part of the Lansing community, and wish them many more years of success,” said Lansing Mayor Andy Schor.
Lansing Mayor Andy Schor and Tim Daman, president and CEO of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, joined Bellwether partner Andie Poole, APR, for remarks at the 3 p.m. ceremony. Clients, staff, agency partners and members of the Lansing community joined for a casual happy hour and tours of the new space.

It’s great to see this growth being led by the next generation of ownership, building on the agency’s twenty-plus-year legacy,” said Tim Daman, president and CEO of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce.
The fourth-floor suite sits a block from the state Capitol and, for the first time, puts the whole team on a single floor. The agency’s previous offices were split across two floors and, before that, in a small house in downtown Lansing. The new space brings staff offices side by side and adds a kitchen gathering area and a formal conference room.
“This move begins a new chapter for us at Bellwether. It puts us in the heart of Lansing and, just as importantly, it puts us together in one collective space,” said Andrea Kerbuski, APR, vice president at Bellwether. “Our old suite spread individual offices across two floors. Now they sit right next to each other, which gives us more room to collaborate and work as one team. We are also excited to share a building with clients and other organizations in our industry. This has been in the works for a few years, so it is fulfilling to see it come together.”
Bellwether has called Lansing home since its founding in 2004 as Martin Waymire. PR veterans Josh Hovey, APR, Angela Minicuci, APR, and Andie Poole, APR, purchased the agency from its founding partners Roger Martin and David Waymire in 2022 and rebranded it as Bellwether Public Relations in October 2024. The agency’s 17 full-time staff include six APR-accredited professionals, and average employee tenure exceeds six years. In May, the firm was named Best Boutique Agency at the Public Relations Society of America’s Silver Anvil Awards, the Bellwether team’s seventh Silver Anvil.
“There were so many moving pieces, from the official plan to the office design, and everyone on our team played a part in making this move possible,” said Angela Minicuci, APR, partner at Bellwether. “This space is special to us, and we wanted to celebrate this new chapter with the people who got us here — our staff, our clients and the Lansing community.”
