DeWitt High School students Geoffry Croley and Ben Zamiara of the Michigan Creativity Group interviewed several champions of the Michigan “education innovation movement” at the Michigan Innovative Schools Conference on December 9, 2014. Linda Forward of the Michigan Department of Education commented on the state of Michigan K-12 education innovation. Additionally, Linda commented on the importance of getting school districts to share best practices and collaborate in order to provide all students with cutting-edge learning opportunities. The Michigan Creativity Group is excited at the prospect of working with Linda – whose focus at the MDE is on innovation and school improvement – to create more events throughout the state to showcase student and educator work
