Noted nonprofit leader Todd Staal tapped for new role that oversees daily operations of private film school
(GRAND RAPIDS, MI) – Grand Rapids nonprofit film production school Compass College of Film & Media has hired Todd Staal as Vice President of Operations. In the newly created role, Staal, who started in October, will oversee the college’s ongoing day-to-day operations with a goal of improving the overall student experience, analyzing operational performance, business planning, and assisting staff to achieve common goals and shared success.
Staal has over 30 years of management and leadership development experience, serving as a sales and business manager for several West Michigan companies and as an executive and discipleship pastor within a local non-denomination church association.
“Compass has a rich 25-year history of providing its students a unique hands-on film and media experience while walking out faith-based people skills,” said Todd Staal. “I am honored to be a part of that next chapter by joining an already amazing team and building strong relationships and organizational excellence, all from a servant leadership posture.
