Historic Old U.S. 27 Motor Tour Returns to Greater Lansing August 25!
LANSING, Mich.–The Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau (GLCVB) is pleased to announce that Michigan’s Capital Region will be a key stop for one of the premier automotive events in the state for 2021 – The Historic Old U.S. 27 Motor Tour.
This five-day motor tour stretches from Coldwater, Michigan, and heads all the way up to scenic Cheboygan along historic U.S. 27. The theme of the annual event is to re-live the good old days of scenic summer vacation trips up north in the family cruiser. Classic cars participating in the tour will be on display at each tour stop. The streets of charming DeWitt, near Old 27, is the host location for the motor tour’s passage through the mid-Michigan area. The public is welcome to view the vintage automobiles in DeWitt just off Old 27 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. Area auto-enthusiasts may also register their classic car at this Lansing-area stop and join the tour for just $15!
“This is always a great event, full of classic old-time nostalgia,” said Julie Pingston,(left) President and CEO of the Greater Lansing CVB. “Michigan’s automotive heritage is so important to its residents, and that is most certainly the case in the home of Oldsmobile, Greater Lansing, Michigan. This year’s tour is especially poignant as we will also honor the legacy of Craig Parrish, longtime tour organizer who recently lost his battle with cancer.”
