Downtown Gaylord is made up of several independently owned shops, all of which provide great variety to Downtown Gaylord. Quality items and experiences are guaranteed in our downtown district, as shoppers enjoy the variety of stores and restaurants, along with the overall “Alpine” theme of our Alpine Village.
The Downtown Development Authority’s “Pavilion On Court” also provides opportunities for events and gatherings in the downtown district, including the summer farmer’s market, the Antiques & Collectibles Show, and other events as scheduled by community groups throughout the year.
The Downtown Development Authority’s purpose in supporting downtown Gaylord is to prevent property deterioration, encourage historic preservation, create development plans, and promote economic growth. The Downtown Development board works together, while in conjunction with the City of Gaylord, to support the mission of the board.
