
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Foster Swift litigation attorney Paul J. Millenbach has been appointed as Vice President of the Detroit Bar Association (DBA). Millenbach last served as the DBA’s Secretary/Treasurer and has been involved with the board for a decade.
Founded in 1836, the DBA is Michigan’s oldest bar association and one of the three oldest in the country. The mission of the DBA is to serve its members and the legal community in Southeastern Michigan by supporting the ethical and successful practice of law and the fair administration of justice.
Paul Millenbach (pictured below) is a litigator and is a co-leader of the General Litigation Practice Group. Paul has extensive experience in Michigan no-fault litigation, including medical provider reimbursement as well as first and third party defense. Other core components of Paul’s practice include a highly specialized transportation and logistics law practice and mass tort defense of asbestos disease cases statewide, including Wayne County. He also assists clients with commercial litigation.
Admitted to practice law in Michigan, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the U.S. Supreme Court, Paul is an active member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, a board member of the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association (Currently serving as Vice President) and the Transportation Lawyers Association. He is also a Fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation and the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Foundation.
Committed to keeping clients abreast of changes in the law, Paul frequently provides updates via e-blast or traditional seminars to a variety of groups including transportation industry leaders, health care financial officers and insurance companies.
A Grosse Pointe native, Paul is a visiting lecturer on Constitutional and Transportation Law at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and is currently the President of the Northern Michigan University Alumni Association Board of Directors. He also previously served as Vice President overseeing Foster Swift’s Farmington Hills office and was a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.
