The Michigan International Speedway has been one of the greatest economic driving forces in the state of Michigan for many years. Chris talks with MIS president Roger Curtis about the new partnership with Fire Keepers Casino. They discuss partnering with NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Greg Biffle for an appearance along with other events MIS is doing this year including the Kaloorah festival, Faster Horses Festival, and of course both NASCAR weekends (June and August). Roger also goes into further detail about the economic impact of the speedway during race weekends and even compares them to other events. Lastly, they discuss one of the greatest sports debates around – whether NASCAR drivers are athletes.
