On June 16, 2026, the Citizens Research Council released a comprehensive paper evaluating the major issues often raised when discussing hyperscale data center development in Michigan. This includes:

The webinar will explain why proposals should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, why economic benefits are often modest outside of property tax revenue and community benefits agreements, and why some negative impacts tend to be overstated.
