Hired as a copy boy in 1976\, he has been a reporter\, city editor\, business editor and deputy managing editor. He is co-founder of the Great Lakes Civility Project and co-author of The Civility Book\, How to Build Bridges across the Political Divide. The Cumberland County native is a graduate of Wayne State University and Schoolcraft College.\n\nThe Civility Book is a nonpartisan guide to maintaining respectful relationships across political\, cultural\, and racial divides.\n\nOnce pitted as adversarial counterparts as the opinion editors of right- and left-leaning newspapers\, veteran journalists Nolan Finley and Stephen Henderson join forces in this groundbreaking work to champion a novel approach to political discourse. Finley\, a resolute conservative\, and Henderson\, a committed progressive\, defy expectations by demonstrating that civil conversation is not only possible but also richly rewarding\, even across colossal ideological divides.\n\nFor information about The Civility Book go to: https://wsupress.wayne.edu/9780814352182/
