Because of the generosity of our donors, last year these high school and university students were among those to receive $2,000 merit-based scholarships.
ESD invests in students beginning in sixth grade and supports them through their college experience. Contributions go directly to these outreach programs:
- Future City Competition for grades 6-8
- Girls and Boys in Engineering Academies for grades 6-12
- Scholarships of $2,000 each to high school and college students
- Student Chapters at 14 Michigan universities
ESD brought students from our 14 University Student Chapters around Michigan to Industry Preview Day at the Auto Show, followed by networking with industry leaders and a talk with Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist.
It is thanks to our donors that we are able to support Student Chapters at 14 universities and give 13 scholarships.
