Detroit Regional Chamber Named Among Detroit Free Press 2025 Top Workplaces

The Detroit Regional Chamber is once again celebrating being named a Top Workplace by the Detroit Free Press. The Chamber and other awardees will be celebrated this evening during a celebration at MotorCity Casino and Hotel.

The award recognizes the experience and culture the Chamber provides its employees and how it supports them in their work serving the Detroit Region and business community. The Chamber is grateful to receive this honor and celebrate another year of fostering a company culture that best serves its employees.

Chamber Backs Historic Data Center Project, Cites Economic Growth and Ratepayer Protections ​

The Chamber recently submitted a formal letter of support to the Michigan Public Service Commission for DTE contracts related to a historic hyperscale data center in Saline Township.

Why it matters: The project, led by OpenAI, Oracle, and Related Digital, represents the largest economic investment in Michigan history, estimated to be more than $7 billion. The project is estimated to create more than 2,500 construction jobs, more than 450 jobs on site, and 1,500 more across the county.
