Downtown Lansing’s only full-service, luxury hotel formally opens
LANSING, MI – Hundreds turned out for the DoubleTree by Hilton Lansing official debut today, Wednesday, Jan. 10, complete with a momentous ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration in the renowned Capitol Ballroom.
The event marks a historic time for the capital city, which now touts a completely renovated, full-service hotel in the heart of downtown. The $11 million renovation reimagined 10,500 square feet of event space with contemporary accommodations and luxury amenities designed with government, meeting planners, events, and business and leisure travelers in mind.
“This is an amazing start to a great future, and I thank everyone who joined us to celebrate this milestone,” said Patrick Perry, general manager for the DoubleTree by Hilton Lansing. “This is a great day for the future of Lansing’s hospitality business and our community of guests – we can feel the enthusiasm!”
Reimagined with a standard of excellence, the DoubleTree by Hilton is committed to the preservation of one of the city’s hospitality legacies while providing guests with a new, luxury experience within minutes of entertainment, dining, and many local businesses.
“If today’s turnout is any indication, our vision of this Lansing landmark will continue to exceed expectations and contribute to the culture of this community in incredible, profitable ways,” said Perry.
Offering 257 newly appointed guest rooms, the DoubleTree by Hilton is downtown Lansing’s only full-service hotel and meeting center, conveniently connected to the Lansing Center and centrally located two blocks from the state Capitol.
