In this segment get a glimps into an event held recently in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Women entrepreneurs, with great ideas for businesses and ready to deliver elevator speeches to pitch them, had a pair of events recently across Michigan. Finalists were selected to participate in an intensive coaching process to hone both their business plan and their pitch skills in anticipation of Dolphin Tank in both Southeast Michigan and West Michigan. “Dolphin Tank” is a kinder, more gentle version of the hit television show “Shark Tank” and allowed entrepreneurs to receive positive feedback from a panel of judges.
The Michigan Women’s FoundationEntrepreneur You Business Plan and Pitch Competition, is an annual contest for Michigan-based, female entrepreneurs. Michigan Business Network was on hand in Grand Rapids at Grand Valley State University the Entrepreneurship Initiative is supported by Consumers Energy and other generous corporations across Michigan.
