DETROIT – (November 18, 2025) – The Detroit Auto Show is proud to announce Detroit Lions defensive tackle Roy Lopez as the final feature of Season Two of its award-winning My Drive. My City. My Show.™ Campaign — a storytelling series that celebrates the people and passions that power the Motor City. The newly-launched campaign featuring Lopez adds to the incredible energy in the city leading to the Thanksgiving Day game in Detroit – and is live on the Show’s social media channels, billboards across Metro Detroit, and detroitautoshow.com. The 2026 Detroit Auto Show roars back January 14 – 25 at Huntington Place in downtown Detroit.
The campaign captures Lopez alongside his lifted F-250 — the same truck he’s driven across the country through every chapter of his career. Editor’s note: Digital assets available here.
“This truck is me,” Lopez says. “It’s my personality. I play nose guard, so it’s only right — your job’s to take on double teams. It’s big, it’s reliable, it’s built to do the work.”
Shot on location in Allen Park at the Detroit Lions Meijer Performance Practice Facility, the visuals blend Lopez’s football journey with Detroit’s automotive heartbeat.
The inaugural My Drive. My City. My Show.™ Campaign launched in 2024, featured Detroit Lions star Taylor Decker in his 1968 Ford Bronco.
My Drive. My City. My Show.™ has become one of Detroit’s most recognized and celebrated creative initiatives. Through cinematic storytelling and authentic local voices, the series captures the essence of Detroit’s drive showcasing the city’s deep connection to mobility, creativity, and community through the people who define it.
Lopez joins a powerful lineup of Detroiters and Motor City changemakers featured in Season Two of My Drive. My City. My Show.™ — each sharing a personal story that connects cars, creativity, and community:
- Rick Mahorn — Detroit Pistons Legend & Bad Boy
- Dr. Rick Ohye — Co-Director, C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital Congenital Heart Center
- Joique Bell — Detroit Business Owner & Former Detroit Lions Running Back
- Jessica Nabongo — Detroit Native. World Traveler. History Maker.
- Ren Stone — Manager of Advanced Design | STELLANTIS NA
- Gmac Cash — Artist & Entertainer

- Josh Laurent — Car Enthusiast & Influencer
These stories showcase the depth of Detroit’s creativity and the people who continue to drive its legacy forward.
The My Drive. My City. My Show.™ stories will play a prominent role at the 2026 Detroit Auto Show. Building on the campaign’s success, the stunning series will be incorporated into this year’s show experience.
