Michael Rogers interviews Preh Inc. President Nick Lontscharitsch. Preh was named a Cool Place to Work 2014 by Crain’s Detroit Business. Preh designs and manufactures control systems for automotive interiors — the systems behind the buttons on center consoles and steering wheels. The company’s employees pay no deductibles, contributions or co-insurance on their health care insurance or their life insurance and disability benefits. Lontscharitsch said his company chose to provide free health care after reading a study showing where employees ranked health care as more important than salary.
