Founded in 2009, Michigan Venison Company makes use of field-harvested whitetail deer taken from a selected handful of large commercial hunting properties throughout Michigan. There are only a few such places that meet the company’s “wild-harvested standard”-wilderness that encompasses hundreds and, in some instances, thousands of acres of forestland where whitetail deer are free to retain a healthy distance from man.
