Mission First Housing Group, a family of nonprofit organizations working together to ensure everyone has a safe, affordable place to call home, recently announced New Market West was honored with awards from the Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations (PACDC) and the Philadelphia Business Journal.
New Market West is a four-story, LEED certified 90,000 square foot commercial building that serves as a hub for retail and community services near the 60th and Market Street El stop in West Philadelphia. New Market West brings high-quality early childhood education, primary health care for seniors, support for previously homeless single parent families, behavioral health services and community-serving retail to a transit accessible location. Cinnaire provided an $11.25 million New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) allocation to support the development. PNC Bank, as the NMTC investor, joined Cinnaire in the financing of the project.

PACDC’s Blue Ribbon Awards for Community Development Excellence recognize outstanding achievement by community development corporations and individuals towards creating an equitable Philadelphia. Winners were announced at PACDC’s Gala and Awards ceremony on April 22nd. As a longtime member of PACDC, Mission First Housing Group was honored by be recognized by their peers for this important community project.

Philadelphia Business Journal’s Best Real Estate Deals of 2020: Best Office Lease Deal, Second Place
The Philadelphia Business Journal celebrates the top real estate deals of the past year. An outside judging panel selected 18 Philadelphia area deals at the Best Real Estate Deals of 2020 and the winners were announced during an April 22nd virtual event and spotlighted in the April 23rd issue of the Philadelphia Business Journal. Mission First Housing Group is thankful to the Philadelphia Business Journal for awarding New Market West with second place in this year’s selection process, and appreciates the attention given to the project and the resources it brings to West Philadelphia.
