Building Michigan Communities Conference (BMCC) will be back, in May 2023!
 
Transform: Be the Spark!

The Building Michigan Communities Conference (BMCC) is now accepting session proposals to be considered for the in-person conference taking place May 9-10, 2023 at the Lansing Center.

We are looking for proposals that are innovative and support our 2023 theme Transform: Be the Spark! The Planning Committee is looking to not only transform the conference but transform the work in the industry.

Interested speakers shall complete the online session submission form by Thursday, November 17th by 12:00 pm ET, after which time the Planning Committee will review it.

Mission StatementProvide Michigan with inspiring and relevant education across the affordable housing continuum with an emphasis on equity, advocacy, and networking opportunities.

ObjectivesBring together the stakeholders involved with the affordable housing industry in Michigan for:

  • Focused training sessions on a variety of topics (professional and personal growth);
  • Invaluable opportunities for networking and deal-making;
  • Building collaborative relationships and advocacy that endure beyond the conference; and
  • Promoting equitable programs and policies.

Who should attend the Building Michigan Communities Conference (BMCC) Because housing is a cornerstone of thriving communities, the BMCC attracts a wide range of attendees from elected officials and staff to housing service providers – for those across the housing continuum. 

We offer sessions, keynotes, exhibits, and networking opportunities for homeless service providers, service organizations,  housing counseling, landlords, management companies, nonprofit/for-profit developers, architects, construction, engineering, realtors, financiers, advocacy groups, legislators, attorneys, accountants, property dealings, zoning, municipalities, townships, villages, Downtown Development Associations, Main Streets, government agencies, universities and Redevelopment Ready Communities.
