Staff Funded Program Supports Diverse Organizations throughout Cinnaire’s Footprint

The Cinnaire Cares charitable giving program is a companywide staff-funded and driven initiative that was created by our employees. Where we live, work and serve, each member of our team is continuously seeking ways to advance communities and enhance the lives and prospects of their residents. Cinnaire Cares provides an opportunity for our team to support our mission by contributing twice monthly to a fund established to support staff nominated charities. Since inception, Cinnaire Cares has raised more than $70,000 to support our nonprofit partners.

We are pleased to announce the most recent Cinnaire Cares donations. With Cinnaire’s matching donation, a total of $19,400 was raised during this funding round, making this our largest round to date. Each organization will receive $3,233. From education and youth leadership initiatives, to providing a safe space for homeless women, to advocating for equitable communities and civil rights, the Cinnaire Cares recipients are a diversified group of missions and organizations.

Serving Chicago

Sarah’s Circle is a non-profit organization with a mission of serving women who are homeless or in need of a safe space. Located in Chicago’s Uptown Community, Sarah’s Circle has provided support for thousands of women since 1979. By providing life necessities, housing, case management, clinical and social services, Sarah’s Circle encourages women to empower themselves by rebuilding both emotionally and physically.

Serving Ingham County

Highfields, Inc. began in 1962 as a residential camp for troubled boys in Ingham County. Their mission is to provide opportunities to children, youth and families to become more responsible for their own lives and to strengthen their relationships with others. Highfields serves as a multi-purpose human services organization which gives approximately 7,000 people every year the resources they need to turn their lives around.

Serving Nationally

Founded in 1909 in response to the ongoing violence against Black people around the country, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is the largest and most pre-eminent civil rights organization in the nation. Their mission is to secure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights in order to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well-being of all persons.

Serving Delaware and Pennsylvania

TeenSHARP was founded in 2009 to increase underrepresented Delaware and Pennsylvania students’ access to college and develop a diverse corp of young leaders who are Successful, High-Achieving, and Reaching Potential (SHARP). Since then, TeenSHARP has evolved into an organization that gives low-income, Black, and Latino youth access to leadership opportunities, trains them to be ambassadors of higher education in their communities, and prepares them for success at colleges and universities.

Serving Wisconsin

Forward Community Investments is a relentless investor, connector and advisor for organizations that reduce social, economic and racial disparities in Wisconsin. They provide loans, grants, and advisory support to organizations, initiatives and coalitions throughout Wisconsin driven by their mission to reduce racial disparities and achieve social justice.

Cinnaire’s Emergency Fund

For the second time, a portion of funding from Cinnaire Cares will be allocated to an emergency fund, set aside for pressing cause. Cinnaire’s emergency fund is used to support our nonprofit partners during crisis, economic or natural disasters.{{cta(‘24284e5c-9acb-489e-9750-6109028db325’)}}
