LANSING, MI – On June 22nd, 2022, MBN China Channel organized the zoom education connecting event, which brought up the friendly school connection proposal between the K12 schools from Lansing and Beijing Haidian China. The host of the event is Mr. Ren Zhang, the president of China Channel.

The guest who attended the event included Jason Mellema, Superintendent of Ingham Intermediate School District, Mr. Chris Holman, CEO of Michigan Business Network, Principals of TSinghua university high school-Shangdi primary school, and Beijing Jiaotong University Affiliated Middle School.

During the meeting, both principals from Beijing Haidian district shared the information of their schools, including the school scale, mottos, curriculum design, etc….

As a result, educators agreed on the expectations and further cooperation on the establishment of the friendly school project between the Lansing and Beijing Haidian District.

Beijing Jiaotong University Affiliated Middle School (formerly Beijing Mingguang Middle School) was founded in 1973 and was officially renamed as Beijing Jiaotong University Affiliated Middle School in July 2014 in the context of the reform of group schooling. The school motto is: Think of the source when drinking water, love the country, and honor the school, and the school philosophy is: Students experience happiness in growth, and teachers experience happiness in success. At present, there are more than 90 teachers and staff members, including 13 district-
level subject leaders and district-level backbone teachers.
