Company names Jonathan Eads as VP of Engineering and Promotes Brittnee Jones to VP of Product Management and Customer Success

November 16, 2023 ,[Ann Arbor, MI] – Genomenon, a leading Genomic Intelligence company, today announced two appointments within its executive team, further strengthening its commitment to delivering leading-edge precision medicine technologies. Jonathan Eads has joined the company as Vice President of Engineering, while Brittnee Jones, PhD has been promoted to the role of Vice President of Product Management and Customer Success.

This news comes on the heels of the company recently announcing it achieved a major milestone in the race to curate the genome by being the first to curate the clinical exome at the gene level based on ClinGen guidelines, considered the highest industry standard.

In his new role as Vice President of Engineering, Eads will spearhead Genomenon's software development team leading the technical vision and implementation for the company’s Mastermind ® Genomic Intelligence Platform and other technologies. Eads was previously SVP of Informatics at Absci, a drug and target discovery company, where he built out and led the data science, software engineering, bioinformatics, cloud infrastructure, and IT teams. Prior to Absci, he was VP, Software Engineering at Denovium where he developed software solutions for the company’s deep learning AI platform. 

Genomenon’s Mastermind Platform provides genomic scientists with the most comprehensive picture of human genomics, with over 23 million variants indexed, an indispensable resource that significantly diminishes the risk of overlooking evidence critical for patient diagnosis. Mastermind is currently used by some of the leading genetic testing labs and medical academic centers around the world.

As Vice President of Product Management and Customer Success Jones oversees the development of the product roadmap for Mastermind and ensures its contribution to the success of its customers. Previously Jones served as the company’s Director of Customer Success. Prior to that role, she was Director, Field Application Scientist for Fabric Genomics where she implemented the company’s enterprise software for clinical genomics reporting.

Eads received both his Masters and Bachelor of Science in chemistry/biochemistry from UC San Diego as well as a Certificate of Data Science and Machine Learning from MIT. Jones received  her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Wofford College and PhD in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from the University of California, San Francisco.
