Former Lyft Strategy Lead, Allie Miller, Ushers in Innovation in Grand Rapids Business Landscape
Grand Rapids, MI. – Well Design Studio (Well) appoints Allie Miller as Partner and Chief Growth Officer. With the recent appointment, Well plans to focus on forming and maintaining partnerships while exploring new related business ventures, growing Well Design’s development initiatives, and expanding services nationally.
Today, less than four percent of executive-level positions are held by Hispanic employees according to the Society for Human Resources Management. As a second-generation Mexican-American, Miller brings a broad perspective to business expansion and growth opportunities. In addition to a diverse background through lived experience, the former San Francisco-based Lyft Strategy Lead brings the West Coast startup culture to West Michigan. During her tenure at Lyft, Miller developed and supported over 250 critical infrastructure partnerships leading to record-breaking revenue generation. At Well, Miller will focus on operations and an internal growth roadmap to ensure her team hits its goals through sustainable and achievable benchmarks.
“As a former client of Well Design, I was able to get an inside look at the incredible impact they provided to businesses and organizations. This made it an easy decision to join the team” said Miller. “I am more than honored to use my new role as Chief Growth Officer and Partner to continue to build our community partnerships to a national level.”
Since joining the team in 2021, Miller has helped to craft and sustain an overall agency growth of 34% across major service offerings while expanding structural mid-level management systems for future growth models. Miller was originally hired as an Account and Marketing Manager and quickly promoted to Director of Operations in 2022 and ultimately Partner and Chief Growth Officer in 2024. Continuously since her arrival, Miller has been instrumental in client acquisition and retention across varying sectors that continue to increase Well’s presence within the West Michigan community. From nonprofits to more corporate-leaning clients Miller positions Well Design as a hub of services and resources to amplify local, statewide, and national change-makers by growing their organizations.
“When we brought in Allie to our team to grow our marketing services, it was clear she had a real vision for growing our studio across all of our service areas,” said Partner, Josh Leffingwell. “As a studio that’s moving out of startup mode, we knew that we needed someone with a lot of experience to provide her vision and expertise to support our studio and our clients.”
In addition to Miller’s contributions to Well Design, she hopes to continue to grow the Studio through more ventures like Well Design's sister company, Featherlight—a subscription-based website builder tailored for small businesses. Miller also aims to develop products, services, and companies that align with Well Design's existing full-service agency, supporting organizations through complementary ventures.
“While Allie’s inclusion in our leadership team may be a recent development for the public, it’s been a seamless integration within our team,” said Partner, Tyler Doornbos. “Allie’s commitment to prioritizing our clients and team has long been evident, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to witness her ongoing contributions in her new role. We can’t wait to see how she will further uplift the Studio and our client's experiences.”
