NexTech High School of Lansing empowers students through student-run clubs

OKEMOS, Mich. –  High school is a time to learn and grow through academics, new relationships, and increased awareness of one’s self. One greater Lansing area school strives to be a place where every learner is accepted and empowered to thrive in their life pursuits — and one way they’re accomplishing that is through student-run clubs. WASHINGTON, D.C. – Legislation authored by U.S. Senator Gary Peters (MI), Chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee that would help recruit, develop and retain highly-skilled cybersecurity professionals in the federal workforce has passed the Senate. Agencies across the federal government face growing cyber threats, but struggle to hire and retain qualified cybersecurity employees.

Legislation Would Bolster Federal Cybersecurity, Improve Government Efficiency, and Create Jobs

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Legislation authored by U.S. Senator Gary Peters (MI), Chairman of Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, to update and authorize the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) has advanced in the Senate.

LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan’s seasonally adjusted jobless rate declined by two-tenths of a percentage point to 5.9 percent during November, according to data released today by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget (see technical note at end of this release). Total statewide employment advanced by 11,000, and Michigan unemployment receded by 11,000. Michigan’s workforce was little changed in November.

U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics revised Michigan September 2021 jobless rate, impacting regional rates
