WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tuesday, U.S. Senator Gary Peters (D-MI), Chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, released the following statement applauding the first comprehensive report by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) on how K-12 schools can improve their cybersecurity defenses. The report was required by a bipartisan law written by Peters to enhance cybersecurity assistance to K-12 educational institutions across the country:

Annual average payroll employment advances over year

LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained constant over the month at 4.3 percent, according to data released today by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget. Employment in the state edged down by 1,000, while unemployment was unchanged over the month, resulting in a minor workforce reduction of 1,000 during December.
