Clinton County Selects Frontier as Partner in its Public-Private Partnership in Pursuit of a ROBIN Grant Project

to Expand Fiber Broadband Service to Unserved and Underserved Locations

St. Johns, Mich.– The Clinton County Board of Commissioners selected Frontier as the vendor for a public-private partnership in pursuit of State Realizing Opportunities with Broadband Infrastructure Networks (ROBIN) grant funding.  The County’s Broadband Infrastructure Development Project will provide fiber-to-the-home broadband service to an estimated 4,300 households in unserved and underserved areas in Clinton County.  This partnership leverages Frontier’s plans to independently fund additional fiber expansion in the community.

Peters Reintroduces Bipartisan Bill to Increase Transparency of Foreign Lobbying

Legislation will Raise Awareness about Foreign Efforts to Influence U.S. Political Process

DETROIT, MI – U.S. Senator Gary Peters (MI), Chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, reintroduced legislation to increase transparency around foreign lobbying, shine a light on efforts by foreign adversaries to influence our public policy, and ensure the government is working in the best interest of the nation. The bill closes a loophole in the Lobbying Disclosure Act that foreign adversaries – including the Chinese government – frequently exploit to conceal their roles in lobbying efforts. Peters introduced similar legislation that passed the Senate last Congress.

DTMB | Regional Michigan Unemployment Rates Advance in December

LANSING, Mich. -- Not seasonally adjusted jobless rates advanced in 16 of Michigan’s 17 labor market areas over the month, according to data released today by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget.   

“Regional labor markets demonstrated employment and workforce reductions during December,” said Wayne Rourke, labor market information director of the Michigan Center for Data and Analytics. “However, preliminary annual average jobless rates declined markedly over the year.”
