Bee Pick-Up Day is Saturday, May 4 

WHAT:  A sure sign of spring is when bees from Fremont, Michigan’s, Great Lakes Bee Co.(GLBC) return home after pollinating almond crops in California and rebuilding of hives in Georgia. Upon the arrival of the bees, hundreds of beekeepers from the Great Lakes region will pick up bees to add to their colonies. The annual Bee Pick-Up Day for bee packages, five and nine frame nucs, and queen bees will take place on May 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Great Lakes Bee Company, 5973 S. Warner Ave., Fremont, MI 49412.

The Michigan state average is up 12 cents from a week ago

DEARBORN, Mich., (April 29, 2024) - Gas prices in Michigan declined slightly after setting a new 2024-high of $3.72 over the weekend. Michigan drivers are now paying an average of $3.71 per gallon for regular unleaded, which is 12 cents more than this time last week. This price is 17 cents more than this time last month and 19 cents more than this time last year.
