Cinnaire announced the closing of an $8.5 million investment in New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) to support the expansion of The Field School, a pre-K-8 private, nonprofit Christian school serving Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. This investment will enable The Field School to expand its facilities and continue providing high-quality education to a diverse and underserved student population.

Yesterday, a celebration took place to mark the opening of the new McClellan Early Childhood Center (McClellan) in the Gratiot Woods neighborhood on the East Side of Detroit. The state-of-the-art facility, spanning an impressive 15,000 square feet, is situated on the former site of the Detroit Public Schools’ Pingree Elementary School.

The Lansing Board of Water & Light (BWL) Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to review a proposed rate increase tonight, Tuesday, August 20 at 5:30pm at the BWL REO Depot 1201 S. Washington Ave., Lansing. If approved at a Special Board Meeting on Tuesday, August 27 at 5:30pm, the rate increase will go into effect on October 1, 2024 and outlines a two-year rate strategy to allow customers to plan for future increases.
