Airport open, no impact on any other aircraft operations
LANSING, Mich.— The Capital Region International Airport (LAN) had an aircraft accident on Tuesday morning shortly after 8 a.m with an Ameriflight Beechcraft 99 aircraft (small cargo feeder aircraft). The aircraft departed from Runway 10R, became airborne briefly, and then crashed south of Taxiway B near the cargo ramp. There was no fire, and LAN personnel as well as local emergency response teams responded immediately, and the individual on the plane walked away without injuries but was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
The Lansing Board of Water & Light will host its 13th annual Hometown Power 5K tomorrow, Saturday, August 12 at 9 am. Proceeds for the event will benefit the McLaren Greater Lansing Healthcare Foundation.

LANSING, Mich.— The Capital Region Airport Authority (CRAA) announced the re-election of John Shaski to serve as chair of the Board of Directors, and elected Victor Celentino to serve as vice chair, effective immediately. The CRAA Board of Directors voted on the election of officers during its regularly scheduled July board meeting.
