Over 100 Tree and Line Crews Continuing Restoration
The Lansing Board of Water & Light (BWL) has restored over 90 percent of their service territory following Thursday night’s storm, with fewer than 3,481 customers remaining for their power to be restored.

Mutual aid crews from across Michigan and out-of-state arrive in Lansing to assist
The Lansing Board of Water & Light (BWL) is continuing to work throughout its service territory to make restorations to customers throughout the Greater Lansing region following last night’s storm and will continue to work throughout the night on repairs. Crews from across Michigan including Niles, Grand Haven, Traverse City, Coldwater, Sturgis, Marshall, Sebawing, Zeeland, and out-of-state crews from Pennsylvania, Iowa, and Kentucky are arriving in Lansing to join BWL crews to get power restored quickly and safely.
The Lansing Board of Water & Light (BWL) is continuing to respond to widespread outages following last night’s storm. BWL crews have been working around the clock to make repairs and continue assessing storm-related damage to provide more accurate estimated restoration times. Updates will follow when more information is available, and will also be posted to BWL’s Outage Map.

The boil water notice has been lifted for 103 Lansing Board of Water & Light (BWL) customers on W. Grand River between Grove Rd. and Forest Hills Rd after testing came back negative for any bacterial contamination. The impacted area included Industrial Parkway, National Parkway, John Henry Dr., S. Lowell Rd between W. Grand River and State Rd., Ingersoll Rd., Watertown Parkway, Thunder Ln. and Country Village Mobile Homes.
