Nobis has served as Director of Finance/Controller of Sparrow Health System since April 2020 and in that capacity created a forecast model for partnership discussions with U-M Health; oversaw more than $120 million in federal COVID relief funds; and served as a contact with credit agencies, among other accomplishments.

Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) to expand its service area for individual and small group plans.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Bipartisan legislation authored by U.S. Senator Gary Peters (MI) that would require the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to simplify its requirements for demonstrating the cost-effectiveness of hazard mitigation grants has advanced in the Senate. Generally, states, local governments, Tribes, and territories (SLTTs) that request hazard mitigation funding from FEMA are required to submit a benefit-cost analysis (BCA) to demonstrate the cost-effectiveness of their projects.

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Gary Peters (MI) reintroduced bipartisan legislation designed to bolster reentry initiatives that center on offering employment preparation, pre-workforce training, and vocational apprenticeship prospects. The Reentry Employment Opportunities Act, which Peters introduced with Senator Mike Braun (R-IN), would codify the U.S. Department of Labor’s Reentry Employment Opportunities (REO) program into law.
