WHAT:  A sure sign of spring is when bees from Fremont, Michigan’s, Great Lakes Bee Co.(GLBC) return home after pollinating almond crops in California and rebuilding of hives in Georgia. Upon the arrival of the bees, hundreds of beekeepers from the Great Lakes region will pick up bees to add to their colonies. The annual Bee Pick-Up Day for bee packages, five and nine frame nucs, and queen bees will take place on May 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Great Lakes Bee Company, 5973 S.
