Part 1: Independent filmmaker Liv Larsen studied filmmaking at MSU’s College of Communications Arts and Science. Her studies introduced her to many styles of work and projects which has lead her to become a director and now producer of the outstanding “From Flint: Voices of a Poison City”,
Segment 1: Todd Lewis-The director, writer editor, producer, actor joins us for the first time and shares a plethora of knowledge on the arts, the work and how it all began for the veteran artesian. Impacted at an early age by the epic film “Star Wars”, Lewis knew right then that becoming an artist was his destiny and he studied and pursued his dream to become the multi-award winner he is today.
Segment 1- Geoffrey Young Haney: Grand Rapids, Michigan opened up its film production gates some years ago, and there’s a revolution of productions headed our way. Our next guest is a native west Mitten side of the state: author, screenwriter, filmmaker, and musician. A love of the arts, telling these stories, and wanting to share them in an ectoplasm way was a natural fit, especially for a life-long fantasy book, superheroes, pop-punk, genre-film lover like Geoffrey Young Haney.
Segment 1 -Angela DeGarmo: Small towns have a wonderful long history associated with talent, and our Mitten is filled with many such places, including Laingsburg, where our first guest hails from. DeGarmo began her acting life there in the Drama Club of Laingsburg, that she put together and was its president. “Big Rock on Candy Mountain”, was their first student production and was born out of the hard work from the students, and in fact is still being run by students there to this very day.
Singer/Songwriter/Musician Zacharias William Celinder returns to SBW and this time from NYC where he was preparing to gig later this night with his girlfriend Nana who also sings on the new song heard at the end of the segment “Nowhere 2 Find”
Dan Pohl was asked at the 2017 Business of Golf Luncheon who he thought was a better player in their prime, Jack Nicklaus or Tiger Woods? Dan points out the reason they were so great is that they both could win with their B-Game.
