Segment 1- On this second time to visit with us on SBW, Chad Michael Collins (Chad Michael Collins is best known for playing the franchise lead role 'Master Sgt Brandon Beckett' across four successful Sony Pictures "Sniper" films. As the son of original star Tom Berenger's 'Master Gunnery Sgt Thomas Beckett', Collins has played alongside his pops as well as Billy Zane and Dennis Haysbert across four films. He recently wrapped principal photography on "Sniper: Homeland Security" in Bogota, Colombia with Berenger and Zane) is welcomed back and he’s got a lot going on in his busy life as an actor/ producer. In credibly, but not surprisingly, the established actor has continue to ride the acting world since 2005 when he began his career professionally. Since that time, Collins has appeared in numerous television shows, and films.
Sue talks with Peggy Anderson, MFEA President about the history of her company “Schmidt Amusements”. Peggy would like to invite everyone to the 25th Silver Anniversary Convention. She touches on how to build and analyze brand plans to standout with your community and to potential sponsors. She also shares some of the important points one should consider for a successful beverage tent by following the rules and regulations.
Sue talks with Chuck Colby from “Three Men and a Tenor” about 25 years with the group and the 25 years of MFEA. They touch on some of the good times, and a bit of music from the group. They also talk about the importance of festivals and events to our communities.
Sue talks with Lori Oberlin with Michigan Antiques Festival in Davisburg, MI. Lori invites everyone to the Michigan Antiques Festival – October 7-8 in Davisburg. Lori and Sue talk about the history as Michigan Antiques Festivals celebrate 50 years in 2018. Lori also congratulates MFEA on recently bringing home the “Bronze Pinnacle Award” given by the International Festivals & Events Association for the MFEA 2017 Magazine!! Sue Bila talks with Brad Back, Vice President and Principal of SeyferthPR a company which among others handles many of the McDonald's restaurants of Michigan. Brad is an upcoming Michigan Festival & Events Association Convention Speaker who will talk about the excitement of using social media at events.
He also invited convention guests to attend his workshop on “creative” ideas using social media and technology. He will be hosting this up in Traverse City this November along with Bill Herbst who has over 20 years in broadcast and social media experience.
