Michigan to Participate in Blue Star Museums Program for Active Military Members

Tenth summer of Blue Star Museums program will run through September 2, 2019

LANSING, Mich. – Michigan’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve, will have free access to 50 Michigan museums this summer as part of the Blue Star Museums program. The 2019 program began on May 18, Armed Forces Day, and will run until September 2, Labor Day. Michigan military families can find the list of participating museums at www.arts.gov/national/blue-star-museums.

Lansing, Mich. – Jamell Williams has never fundraised before, but he is enthused about stepping out of his comfort zone to represent LAFCU in The Dapper Dads Challenge. The annual event benefits physical and psychological health care for mid-Michigan women through the Sparrow Foundation and its Women Working Wonders (W3) Committee.

“The cause motivates me to get involved,” said Williams, LAFCU West Lansing Branch manager who has been with the credit union for five years.
