Michigan Executive and State Departments
Gov. Whitmer announced further re-opening of the state today:
- Regions 6 and 8 will move to Phase 5 of the MI Safe Start plan beginning June 10. This includes:
- Re-opening of movie theaters.
- Indoor gatherings of 50 people indoors and 250 outdoors.
- Outdoor performance and sporting venues will be open with a capacity of 500.
- Re-opening personal care facilities (i.e. hair and nail salons, tattoo parlors, tanning salons, and exercise facilities)
Annual Fishing tournament turned weekend-long event contributing to the exploration and utilization of our local waterways and natural environment.
May 29, 2020 – Flint, MI. The Flint River Watershed Coalition is excited to announce the return of the Fish the Bricks fishing tournament. In prior years, we assisted the efforts of the City of Flint Downtown Development Authority during the June Free Fishing weekend to bring anglers of all ages and abilities to Fish the Bricks. With various construction projects on the river in downtown Flint – including the Consumers Energy clean up and the removal of the Hamilton Dam – we’ve had to put the tournament on hold the last few years.
